Three power play goals gave the Abbotsford Pilots their 4-1 victory over the Aldergrove Kodiaks in the opening game of the PJHL first-round playoffs.
The Pilots scored one power play goal in each of the three periods at MSA Arena, Feb. 16, while the Kodiaks were unable to score in their six power plays.
The Kodiaks' sole goal came halfway through the second period, with Brandon Dolby lending the assist to Kyle Bosko.
The goal tied the game briefly at 1-1 but the Pilots were up 2-1 three minutes later.
The Pilots outshot the Kodiaks 38-32.Game two is tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 17, 7:15 p.m. at Aldergrove Arena.
