A brief win streak for the Aldergrove Kodiaks was dashed Friday by the Ridge Meadows Flames.
It was a competitive game with the Kodiaks and Flames exchanging the lead and tying it up in the first two periods but the Flames took the win with a 4-3 score in the third.
Scoring for the Kodiaks were Clayton Schroeder, Jacob De Waal and Ryleigh Anderson, with Arjan Cheema earning an assist in all three goals, along with the game’s third star. Other assists came from John Lee with a pair, and Tyler Cannon.
The Flames scored on both of their power plays while the Kodiaks failed to find the net on their two power plays. The Kodiaks narrowly outshot the Flames, 35-33.
The Kodiaks now stand at 14 points after 15 games (6-7-0-2).
The Kodiaks host the Mission Outlaws on Nov. 1 at Aldergrove Arena, and have a pair of away games this week, Nov. 2 versus the Richmond Sockeyes and Nov. 5 versus Grandview Steelers.
