Langley defeated Little Mountain 14-9 in Sunday play to make the finals of the nine-year-old Selects tournament hosted by Langley Baseball at City park in Langley City.

The tournament continues next weekend.

Langley Baseball will be hosting national intermediate baseball championships for 13- and- 14-year-old players July 20 to 27 at City Park.

All-star squads from B.C., Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec will vie for a national intermediate championship title at City Park.

As host team, the Langley Baseball all-stars receive automatic berth, and will join another B.C. squad at the tournament.

Opening ceremonies featuring dignitaries and a bagpiper are being held Thursday, July 20 starting at 7 p.m.

Langley will be home to this national tournament until 2019.
