On Friday, April 17, the D.W. Poppy Secondary school junior girls soccer team won Gold in the Kwantlen Park Secondary Junior Girls Soccer tournament.
The team played five games that day.
The first game was a tie, 2-2, against Maple Ridge.
Second was a win, 3-1 against Fraser Heights.
Third was a win, 3-2 against Arch Bishop Carney.
Fourth was a semi-finals a win, 2-1 against D.W. Poppy Senior team.
Fifth was final for gold a win, 1-0 against Maple Ridge again.
Their coach is Geoff Labine.
