Nine catches for 136 yards and one touchdown have earned Langley Rams receiver Khalik Johnson weekly honours.
The Rams wideout was named the BC Football Conference’s offensive player of the week for week three on Tuesday.
Despite Johnson’s monster game, however, the Rams fell 34-17 to the Okanagan Sun on Saturday at Langley’s McLeod Athletic Park. The loss dropped Langley to 1-2 while Okanagan is 3-0.
Through three games, Johnson leads the league with 18 catches for 268 yards.
Langley is back in action on Saturday when they face the Westshore Rebels (2-1) at Langford’s Westhill Stadium.
Kamloops Broncos’ Max Joseph also earned recognition as the special teams player of the week.
The Langley teen ran back a missed field goal for a 109-yard touchdown as he finished with 208 total return yards.
Joseph is a rookie in the league after a stellar high school career with the Langley Saints.
