Ready for rugby season start

On Friday Feb. 18, D.W. Poppy Secondary hosted a Rugby Development Camp that was attended by coaches and players from D.W. Poppy, Mountain,  Aldergrove and Brookswood secondary schools. Coaches shared different tactics and drills to help develop the game for the athletes in Langley. The event was designed with the aim to assist teams and coaches to gain more insight into some different approaches to the game and give a kick start to the upcoming season."Events like this can really help build up our sport in the school district and to try and bring it back to a very competitive level," said teacher Carl Hunter. "All of our schools in Langley have played in the provincials at some stage and most have won provincial titles which shows that we have the athletes here we just need to sell the kids on the game again."
