The Aldergrove Kodiaks gave it their all in their final game against the Richmond Sockeyes but had to settle for the PJHL silver this season.

Aldergrove Arena was packed with fans on Tuesday, March 26 and for a while it looked like the Kodiaks might just take a game in the final series, instead of going down 2-1.

The Kodiaks outshot the Sockeyes 40-38 and only the outstanding performance by Sockeyes keeper Kootenay Alder kept the fierce flurry of pucks out of their net.

The Sockeyes scored once each in the first and second periods.

The Kodiaks' sole goal was an unassisted slap shot from defenceman Stefan Gonzales early in the second period, earning Gonzales the game's second star.

Neither team was able to score on each of three power plays and the third period was scoreless.
