On the weekend of June 25-26 at Bateman Park in Abbotsford the 2016 BC Special Olympics Soccer Regional Qualifiers took place for the 22 teams from regions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Top teams from this regional qualifier will be competing at the 2017 Special Olympics Provincial Summer Games.

Special Olympics Langley Storm won their first game 8 to 1 against Vernon, lost their second game 4 to 0 against Vancouver, tied their third game 4 to 4 against Richmond and won their final game 3 to 1 against Surrey.

With this result the Storm placed second in the Yellow Division with Vancouver taking first and Surrey taking third.
