Langley Minor Lacrosse is hosting introductory sessions for girls born from 2005 to ‘11 starting in January. Sessions will take place Sunday mornings at the Langley Events Centre Fieldhouse.

Thunder announces beginners program for girls lacrosse players

Sunday sessions start in January at LEC Fieldhouse

Langley Thunder Lacrosse is aiming to bring more girls into the game.

In this vein, the organization has put together a Girls Lacrosse Program, Introductory Lacrosse for Beginners on Sundays from Jan. 7 to Feb. 11.

The program is for girls born between 2005 and 2011.

Session times at the Langley Events Centre Fieldhouse (behind the main arena, across from the Langley Tennis Centre) are:

• 10 to 11:30 a.m. for girls born from 2009 to ‘11, and;

• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for girls born between 2005 and ‘08.

The goal is to teach the fundamentals of box lacrosse through skills development, fun and games.

Cost is $25 per player. A helmet with a cage is mandatory for each player.
