Walkathon raises $6,000 for Special Olympics

Langley Special Olympics Walkathon Fundraiser at McLeod Athletic Park in Langley.

On Sunday, May 15 the weather held up well for the participants who took part in the fifth annual Langley Special Olympics Walkathon Fundraiser at McLeod Athletic Park in Langley.

The money that was raised will go towards uniforms, equipment, tournaments and whatever else is needed for the sports that Langley Special Olympics offers.

The total money raised was estimated at $6,000 and still counting.

The athletes, coaches and volunteers thanks everyone who donated money to this year’s Langley Special Olympics Walkathon Fundraiser.
