Aldergrove Kodiaks handily took the first game of the second playoffs round by a 4-1 score Wednesday night at Aldergrove Arena
Aldergrove Kodiaks are now just one win away from the Pacific Junior Hockey League championship playoffs.
The win advances the Kodiaks to the next round in the Harold Brittain conference playoffs against the Ridge Meadows Flames.
The result puts the Kodiaks at 70 points after 42 games (35 wins, seven losses), with playoffs starting just two games from now.
Kodiaks finally took the lead in the third period, and an 8-3 win, to improve their standing to 68 points after 41 games (34 wins, 7 losses)
The first period was scoreless but the Kodiaks took a 4-2 lead in the second and scored four more in the third for the 8-5 win.
