Laura Jamieson and Jim Parussini at Aldergrove's Save on Foods load up a roast beef sandwich during the store's 12th annual garage sale, a fundraiser for BC Children's Hospital held at the store's parking lot on Saturday.
The day-long event featured a variety of donated goods for sale as well as contests and the delicious beef on a bun, and a total of $3,116 was raised for Children's Hospital.
Parussini has retired from management at Aldergrove Save on Foods but keeps active with a landscaping business as well as volunteering at events and activities such as the AOK "Extreme Home Makeovers" currently underway on two Aldergrove residences.
