Join the sixth Fraser Valley Walk for ALS on Saturday, June 16. This fun-filled community event will be kicking off at Mill Lake Park (Bevan Ave. entrance) in Abbotsford at 10 a.m. with the walk starting at 11 a.m.
Proceeds from this event go to the ALS Society of B.C. to fund research and to provide support for those living with ALS. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal neuromuscular disease that affects the person’s motor neurons that carry messages to the muscles. When these muscles fail to receive messages, they lose strength, atrophy and die, leaving the person immobilized.
