The Aldergrove Christmas Parade After-Party follows the parade on Saturday, Dec. 9, starting about 7:15 p.m.

The Aldergrove Business Association’s (ABA) fourth annual Aldergrove Christmas Parade Afterparty will take place this Saturday, Dec. 9 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., immediately following the Aldergrove Christmas Light Up Parade.

This family-friendly event will be held at the Aldergrove Vineyard Church (former Elks Hall) and parking lot, 27309 Fraser Highway, at the end of the parade route.

Come by after the parade and warm up with hot chocolate, popcorn, and hot dogs. Bring your kids’ letters to Santa to drop off in Canada Post’s Red Mailbox and take in the sounds of the Christmas season with holiday entertainment, and visit with Santa Claus.

The Afterparty is free to the community, but the ABA encourages you to bring non-perishable food items or a cash donation for the Aldergrove Food Bank.

There will again be a contest for the honour of lighting Aldergrove’s official Town Christmas Tree and to win a bicycle.

The Aldergrove Business Association, Aldergrove RBC Royal Bank, All Seasons Garden Center, Cranky’s Bike Shop and the Aldergrove Star are sponsoring a Christmas colouring contest, and you could light Aldergrove’s Official Town Christmas Tree.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place following the Christmas Light Up Parade on Dec. 9 at approximately 7:15 p.m. The winner will also take home a new bike from Cranky’s Bike Shop. There will also be plenty of other prizes from local Aldergrove merchants.

Aldergrove’s official Town Christmas Tree is sponsored by All Seasons Garden Centre. Download colouring contest here.

The colouring contest is open to children ages eight and under. Colour and decorate the tree, then take a photo of yourself holding your tree and email it to contest@aldergroveba.ca with your name, age, and telephone number, or drop off your entry at the Aldergrove RBC Royal Bank branch, 27510 Fraser Hwy., or Cranky’s Bike Shop, 2961 272 St.

The winner will be drawn Dec. 7 and will light Aldergrove’s Official Town Christmas Tree following the Parade on Dec. 9.
