On Saturday June 8, in recognition of Canadian Environment Week (June 2-8), Member of Parliament Mark Warawa will be distributing free native plants.
A total of 100 big leaf maple, 350 Saskatoon berry and 350 flowering red currant seedlings will be available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
Native plants are indigenous to our area, provide a food source for people and great habitat for birds and other wildlife, produce oxygen and keep our air clean.
The plant giveaway takes place at Langley Home Depot (6598- 200 St) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. or as quantities last.
