Local dog groomer wins big at Groom Expo West Event

Pet groomer Annie Williams won first, second and third prizes at Groom Expo West Grooming Contest held in Pasadena, California.

Pet groomer Annie Williams won second in the Poodles Intermediate Division and won first in the Salon Freestyle Intermediate Division and third in Group at the Groom Expo West Grooming Contest held in Pasadena, California.

For her wins, Annie took home $225 in cash, three trophies and featured coverage in the grooming industry’s most prestigious magazine, Groomer to Groomer.

Annie won with a poodle named Emily and a cocker spaniel named Murphy, both owned by herself.

Annie Williams has been grooming for approximately six years, with three of those years professionally. She attended grooming school directly out of high school and has been running a successful salon since.

At the age of 20, she is an international award winning groomer with wins in Canada, the United States, and Australia. Her ultimate dream is to compete at a world level on Groom Team Canada.

The grooming contests were sponsored by Wag’n Tails and Earthbath.Groom Expo West is a national event organized by Barkleigh Productions, Inc. Barkleigh is the media and event leader of the pet care industry. Barkleigh produces several pet grooming trade shows, including Groom Expo in Hershey, PA. Groomer to Groomer Magazine is published by Barkleigh.
