Giving Tree: Tags with gift wishes of seniors at Jackman Manor are on a Christmas tree at the Save-On Foods in Aldergrove, 26310 Fraser Hwy. Public can take a tag, purchase the gifts, and return them unwrapped with the tag before Dec. 19 or leave a donation at customer service so the gifts can be purchased.

Elves Gift Store: Donations of new or gently used items needed for store that allows children to pick up Christmas gifts for loved ones. Donations appropriate for all ages can be dropped off at the Lower Fraser Valley Aboriginal Society office, 20644 Eastleigh Cres. between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. until Friday, Nov. 24. Winter Market: Lower Fraser Aboriginal Society, 20644 Eastleigh Cres., is hosting a market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 23 (rescheduled from Friday, Nov. 17), with handmade crafts and artwork, plus bannock and apple cider. Info: 604-308-5260.

Rad Santa: Twins Cancer Fundraising hosts photos with Santa at Potters nursery, 19158 48th Ave., on Thursday, Nov. 23. Pet photos between 4 and 5 p.m. with family photos from 5 to 8p.m. By donation with all proceeds going to the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.

Photos with Santa: At Save-On Foods Aldergrove, 26310 Fraser Hwy., by donation photos with all going to the Giving Tree for the seniors of Jackman Manor will be done Saturday, Nov. 25, from noon to 4 p.m.

Pictures with Santa: Sherry Saran Real Estate Group hosting fundraiser for Canucks Autism Network from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25. Book a time for photos with Santa and receive a free 5x7-inch printed image. Donations welcome. At Gord’s Tree Farm, 4726 248th St. Book: 604-533-3491.

Christmas at the Flight Museum: Public invited to the Canadian Museum of Flight, 5333 216th St., between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, for kids crafts, a visit with Santa’s helpers, and all the heritage aircraft and artifacts on display. Stuff the Truck: Commissionaires Team at Naval Radio Station Aldergrove invite the public to support a fundraiser for the food banks serving Aldergrove and Matsqui. Stop by the outer parking lot, 3900 272nd St. between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, with donations of non-perishable foods; new unwrapped gifts for children up to 18, or cash, as well as recyclable (non-glass) drink containers.

Third Annual Christmas Market Extravaganza: Fort Langley Lions Hall, Glover Road and 88th Avenue, is the site for the market on Nov. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Holiday Craft Fair: More than 40 vendors will be at the Langley Senior Resources Society Centre, 20605 51B Ave., between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25. The Tuk Shoppe and cafe are open. There will also be raffles and giveaways. Admission is by donation. Info: 604-530-3020 or lsrs.ca.

Tegemeza Christmas Markets: Annual market is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25, and Sunday, Nov. 26, at 19814 34A Ave. Find handmade items, African artisan good, and more at fundraiser that supports a local non-profit that helps children in Kenya. Info and RSVP: Tegemeza Facebook. Watch for the group at the artisan market Dec. 2 and 3, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Timms Community Centre.

Aldergrove Christmas Market: In addition to more than 20 vendors, there’s a photo booth, a special visitor, and refreshments in the cafe on Sunday, Nov. 26, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Firehouse Cafe, 2900 272nd St. Event supports Langley Meals on Wheels.

Christmas Wish Breakfast: Bring a new, unwrapped toy or gift for a children from newborn to 18, and enjoy a breakfast at the fundraiser for the Langley Christmas Bureau. Stop by Newlands Golf and Country Club, 21025 48th Ave., between 6:30 and 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, when there will also be live entertainment, and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Brookswood Night of Lights: New location for neighbourhood celebration is the George Preston Recreation Centre. Festivities include Rudolph and Santa’s elf, raffle, barbecue, hot drinks, treats, prizes, kids activities, Santa letter writing, music, and more between 5 and 7 p.m. on Friday Dec. 1. Kids get free entry to the Langley Rivermen hockey game starting at 7:15 p.m. Info: Brookswood Village Facebook.

Very Merry Market: Willowbrook Shopping Centre two-day festival is in the lot between Hudson’s Bay and Safeway from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, and Saturday, Dec. 2. Market includes train rides, and a tree farm both benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley, a firefighter toy drive, an immersive snow globe, and an artisan market with 18 vendors. Santa photos and mini artisan market: From 4 to 7 p.m., find vendors and photos at 2992 272nd St. Santa photos support the Aldergrove Food Bank. Book through Toy Central’s Facebook page. Walk-ins welcome.

Holiday Market: Lynn Fripps Elementary market includes 50 vendors showcasing homemade products and hot chocolate for shoppers. Entry is by donation. Door prizes, a cash concession has hot and cold drinks, home baking, and hot dogs. Stop by 21020 83rd Ave. between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The Wooden Angel: Christmas story set in 1908 is on stage at Bez Arts Hub, 20230 64th Ave., at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 2. Performed by storyteller Jason Hildebrand and songwriter Russ Rosen. Tickets: $30. Info: bezartshub.com.

Christmas Market and Photos with Santa: Glenwood Elementary, 20785 24th Ave., has more than 60 vendors, food truck and concession, face painting, raffles, door prizes, activities for children, and more between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. 115th annual bazaar: St. George’s Anglican Church, 9160 Church St. in Fort Langley, has its long-running bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. when people will find baking, canning, bric-a-brac, Christmas wreath making, and children’s crafts. Homemade lunch available.

Santa Shuffle: Sign up for the fundraising event (five kilometre run or one-kilometre elf walk) taking place Saturday, Dec. 2 at Blacklock Fine Arts Elementary, 5100 206th St., benefiting the Salvation Army Willows Family Centre. Holiday card making: Ages 13 and older can head to the Murrayville Library, 22071 48th Ave., for a craft session with supplies and warm drinks provided. The session is 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4, and requires advance registration at fvrl.bc.ca.

Critter Care Christmas Store: Pick up unique holiday items at the wildlife rehabilitation shelter, 481 216th St., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Dec. 4 and 17. Purchases help wildlife society care for the animals. Info: crittercarewildlife.org.

Tween and teen cookie decorating: Kids ages 11 to 15 can decorate holiday cookies between 6 and 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, at the Muriel Arnason Library, 20338 65th Ave. Sign up in advance. Gluten- and nut-free options available. Info: fvrl.bc.ca.

Winter Wonderland and Toy Drive: Inclusion Langley Society invites the public to enjoy its drive through decorated site, 23535 44th Ave., from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, for lights, inflatables,and costumed greeters. Park and enjoy music, treats, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and more. People are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy or gift for youth, gift card, or money for the Langley Christmas Bureau.

First Christmas Experience: Interactive event for the whole family tells the story of the first Christmas. Free admission to the event which runs 6 to 9 p.m. from Dec. 8 to 10 at Christmas Life Assembly, 21277 56th Ave. Hour-long tour with hot chocolate and cookies after as well as a vendor market (cash only), and activities and crafts for kids.

Annual Children’s Christmas Party: Aldergrove Elks party is 2 to 5 p.m. at the Aldergrove Legion, 26607 Fraser Hwy., on Saturday, Dec. 9, and includes a princess, face painting, magic show, balloon twisting, refreshments, and more.

Christmas Tales - Fireside Edition: True stories woven together with seasonal choir and solo performances by the Bez Gospel Choir. Show is at 6:30 or 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, at Bez Arts Hub, 20230 64th Ave. Tickets: $30. Info: bezartshub.com

Themes of Christmas: Langley Ukulele Ensemble concerts are at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Chief Sepass Theatre, Fort Langley. Show included seasonal music, carols, a video presentation narrating the Christmas story and more. Yuletide, a concert by Kentucky Eileen: Folk quartet’s 8 p.m. concert is on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Bez Arts Hub. Show features holiday classics as well as some of the band’s original works. Tickets: $39. Info: bezartshub.com.

Holiday Fishbowl Challenge: Very Very Improv has shows Dec. 20 to 3o with teams going head to head with audience suggestions pulled from a fishbowl. 8 p.m. shows are at the Bez Arts Hub, 20230 64th Ave. Tickets: $28 for adults, $22 for students, at veryveryimprov.ca.

Martini Town Merry and Bright: Local film set dressed up for the holidays and open to the public Wednesday through Sunday during December and includes Jan. 1. Live music, Santa visits, carolling, regional choirs, entertainment, lights, treats, and local vendors. Tickets (add GST): $22 for 13 and older, $12 for six to 12, $18 for 65 and older, and $60 for a family pack (two adults and two kids under 13). Must be purchased in advance. No gate sales.
