Musicians needed for Fraser Valley Concert Series

Deadline to apply is Sunday, March 12

The Fraser Valley Concert Series, formerly known as the Envision Financial Concert Series, is now accepting applications from musicians for the upcoming 2017 season.

The series connects local musicians with members of the community in coffee houses and in Mill Lake Park, and runs every Saturday evening at 7 p.m. from May 20 through Sept. 23.

This year, the application also includes the option to apply for the Fraser Valley Music Awards (FVMA) and the Battle of the Bands, both hosted by CIVL Radio. Through the FVMA’s, musicians have the further opportunity to play in different venues throughout the Valley, exposing their music to new fans and the potential to win thousands of dollars in a number of industry prizes.

Applications are available online at http://www.abbotsfordartscouncil.com/open-calls.

Submission deadline is Sunday, March 12.
