Cineplex’s Community Day is returning for an 11th year this Saturday, Nov. 4.

For the morning only, the movie theatre is screening family friendly films for free.

Gaming at Playdium and the Rec Room will also be free to guests.

With each concession order and XSCAPE Play Card purchase throughout the day, $1 will be donated to support BGC Canada (Boys & Girls Club of Canada).

“Last year, Cineplex raised $165,000 for BGC Canada, the country’s largest child and youth-serving organization. We are thrilled to be supporting them again this year, as Cineplex Community Day is all about giving Canadians of all ages a memorable experience in our venues,” said Michelle Saba, VP, communications at Cineplex.

Cineplex theatres open at 9 a.m. on Community Day, with regular programming returning in the afternoon.

“Cineplex Community Day has become a cherished and memorable tradition that unites people from coast to coast in the shared joy of entertainment and social experiences,” said Ellis Jacob, president and CEO of Cineplex.

The lineup of films for the morning are below:

  • Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile
  • Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation
  • Jumanji: The Next Level
  • The Angry Birds Movie 2
