Prepare to be appreciated Aldergrove, because local kids will be going around spreading some kindness next weekend.

On Saturday, March 23, the Aldergrove Business Association (ABA) is holding its first ‘Kids 4 Kindness’ event in the plaza. Kids of all ages will greet locals and visitors, hold the door for people, hand out flowers, carry groceries, and many more small acts of kindness to brighten a person’s day.

“Kindness is so important as it is a foundation for the future leaders of our community,” said Jodi Steeves, ABA president.

Kids will be at Veronica’s Perogies, Hive Donuts, Infinity Cards, Home Hardware, and the Greater Vancouver Zoo – one might be the emcee on the train.

Local businesses, like Langley Meals on Wheels, have donated to the event so there will be various prizes and some light snacks.

“We wanted to build on the kindness banner program we did a few years back and thought this would be a fun event for kids in the community during spring break,” Steeves explained.

The event will run from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Aldergrove Plaza, located at 27214 Fraser Hwy.
