Langley RCMP responded to shots fired in the Willowbrook area Wednesday afternoon, April 10.
Just before 3:30 p.m., police were called to the area of Willowbrook Drive between 200th and 198th Street.
There was a heavy police presence in the parking lots of the Katana restaurant and the Fitness World, which are adjacent to one another. Police tape cordoned off part of the lot.
In the aftermath of the incident, police told patrons of the Fitness World to stay inside for a brief time.
No victims were located, said Const. Prrabjit Chatha, with Langley RCMP.
Officers are still on scene as of 4:50 p.m., and are conducting a neighbourhood search while speaking with witnesses.
“This investigation is in its early stages,” said Chatha. “Langley RCMP is working to determine the possible motive for the shooting.”

Police have closed sections of 200th Street and most of Willowbrook Drive to the public.
Traffic in the area is quickly becoming congested.
