As of Wednesday, Langley RCMP Cpl. Craig van Herk said the woman’s place of residence hadn’t been confirmed.

“Investigators are working to determine her movements and actions before the collision,” van Herk said.

Anyone with dash cam video from the area that morning is asked to contact Langley RCMP at the non-emergency number of 604-532-3200.

“If anyone was driving anywhere in the area of 264th and 28 Ave Monday from 6-7 am, they may have seen her walking,” van Herk said.

Langley RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team, Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service are investigating.

BC Emergency Health Services attended and provided emergency care for the pedestrian, who was transported to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators.

Speed or alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors, van Herk said.
