While kids are hoping Friday will be a snow day, Langley School District will decide by 6:30 a.m. Friday morning whether schools will close.
School district spokesperson Ken Hoff advises all parents to check the district's website https://www.sd35.bc.ca/ or their individual school website Friday morning for closures.
Most commonly public schools don't close because of snow, much to most children's chagrin.
The snow may impact bussing though, Hoff said. That information will also be made available Friday morning.
If the predicted 10 to 20 centimeters of snow does really fall, and schools are open, it is up to parents to decide whether it is safe to drive or walk kids to school, said Hoff.
"Ultimately, it is up to parents to make that decision."
The possible school closures will also be listed on the district's Facebook page and Twitter account.
