Aldergrove Community Secondary School will be the focus of a “Million Dollar Rally” Wednesday night in an attempt to showcase community support for a new proposed television series on finances and families. Bruce Heslop of the Aldergrove Business Association said the series could turn into great publicity for Aldergrove, so he’s hoping to see a large turnout Wednesday.
“The plan is to get 1,000 people out,” he said. “We’re going to crank it up.”
Wednesday night’s event will feature filming, snacks and prizes. Participants are asked to meet at the school at 5 p.m., and there will be events going on until 9:30. Heslop said community support will be crucial to the series’ chances of success.
“We need a major force out there.”
