Surrey RCMP responded to an alleged carjacking Jan. 7 and arrested four suspects after a lengthy pursuit across the city.
At about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, Surrey Mounties received reports of an armed carjacking that occurred in North Surrey.
Mounties located the car and a chase ensued. The pursuit ended near the intersection of 192nd Street and 76th Avenue in the northeastern area of Clayton Heights when both vehicles crashed in a ditch.

“Four suspects fled from the vehicle and it appears all were apprehended with some receiving dog bite wounds,” said a Black Press Media freelancer who attended the scene of the crash. “It appears at least one firearm was recovered from the suspects.”
It is unclear how the vehicles wound up in the ditch, but one police officer was taken to hospital with injuries.
Both Langley RCMP and Surrey Police Service officers assisted with the incident.
