Mayor Jack Froese and councillor Kim Richter try the new 'Pacific Commuter' bus service from Langley to Vancouver.

All aboard!

A demonstration on how to relax and commute in luxury was given to Langley Township Mayor Jack Froese and Councillor Kim Richter, who took a trip aboard the new Pacific Commuter on June 28.

The motor coach, which will launch its service after the Canada Day long weekend, will pick up residents in Langley and Surrey and bring them to Vancouver in the morning and back at the end of the day.

Pacific Commuter members can enjoy many of the comforts of home, including free WIFI, reclining chairs, and kitchen and washroom facilities while on the coach.

Mayor Froese welcomed the service as a viable transportation alternative.

“Convenient and appealing options such as the Pacific Commuter may prevent people who live in Langley and work in Vancouver from thinking about moving further west to be closer to their jobs,” he said. “We are always pleased when transportation improvements can be made for our residents.”
