Ivan Cartwright

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ivan Cartwright.

Ivan was born on May 6th, 1939, in Langley BC and passed away January 30th, 2024, in Langley, BC.

He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Edna Cartwright, his brothers Frankie, Alan, his sister Pat, and son Jimmy.

Ivan is survived by his siblings Shirley, Wendy, Sonny, Steven, Vicki also by his children Kelly, Karey, Julie, Jackie, Jerry, Lisa and by his grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Ivan was a hard-working man who spent his years from farm, land, to sea and was always behind a machine. With over 50 years in the Operators Engineers Union. Being the best in his career and being a good provider was always something Ivan strived for.

His love of fast cars, like his infamous Edsel (Orphan Annie), his heavy machinery, his love for dump trucks and commercial fishing boats, many would look to him for his knowledge and expertise. His life and career took him to every corner of B.C., but he always came home to his roots in Glen Valley and his desire to be close to his family.

A celebration of life will be held at Henderson Funeral Home February 17/24 at 12:30 pm.
