In Loving Memory ~

Jim passed away after a brief illness on October 15th, 2023. S

urvived by his wife Janice, daughter Sheena (Jean-Marc), son Darren (Carrie B.), son Kirby (Carrie H.) and his eleven grandchildren.

Born in Unity Saskatchewan, he moved with his family as a young child to Dawson Creek, BC.

He met Janice in 1962 and they were married in 1966. They soon started a family with the birth of Sheena. They moved to the Yukon for 8 years and added to the family with two sons, Darren and Kirby.

Tired of the cold, Jim accepted an opportunity to move to the Lower Mainland for work and soon settled in Langley with his young family.

Jim became a successful Heavy Equipment Salesman, selling logging equipment in the Queen Charlotte and Vancouver Islands. He also sold roadbuilding equipment throughout South-Western BC. He was very loyal to the Volvo Construction machinery line and followed it through a number of local sales dealers.

Jim enjoyed his family foremost, working in his shop and being around aviation, owning several aircraft through the years. He had an analytical mind that could trouble shoot, fix or build anything that he wished. He helped his family with home renovation projects, enjoyed creating wooden crafts, completing car repairs and welding projects. His popping by just to say hi or see what was happening on the weekend, is sorely missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 3rd at Adrians' at the Airport (upstairs), at the Langley Airport, starting at 1pm.
