In Loving Memory ~

Joe, our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on March 8, 2024 after a long battle with illness. He is predeceased by his father, mother, sisters and brother and is survived by his wife Claudette (of 53 years), son Carl (Michelle), grandsons Alex and Dylan.

Joe immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1966 and with limitless effort, dedication and passion, worked a lifetime career in aviation. As a commercial pilot both on airplanes and helicopters he travelled extensively across Canada and the globe from the Arctic to the Tropics.

Joe served his country for 10 years at Transport Canada in safety, inspector and enforcement roles. He saved lives while flying the Vancouver Air Ambulance both in the 80's and in the 2000's.

As an avid adventurer he spent his free time as an offshore sailor, camper, scuba diver, fisherman, motor cyclist and private pilot.

A memorial service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, 9160 Church Street, Fort Langley at a date to be announced.
