Nancy Christine Shatzko (née Haliburton)

February 21, 1965 - May 14, 2022
In Loving Memory ~
We are heartbroken to announce the death at 57, of Nancy Shatzko. She fought Lung Cancer for 3 years with courage and few complaints or regrets, always cheerful and loving.
Nancy was born in Berwick, Nova Scotia to John (Jock) and Jo-Ann Haliburton. Her early years were spent growing up mostly in Winnipeg before moving to B.C. At 21 she ventured alone by train to find work at 'Expo86'
She is survived by her husband Daryl Shatzko; her sons Christopher and Tynan; her stepdaughter Brittny along with her spouse Chris Hodgson and their daughter Caroline. Nancy was also survived by her brother Douglas and his wife Cathy; brother David and his wife Kristy; Sisters Debora and Gayle along with her spouse Tom.
Nancy touched many lives with her cheerful, friendly outgoing manner. She could make a lifelong friend standing in a bank lineup. She enjoyed her book club and all of the many friends she made through life. She also enjoyed boating and camping with many experiences throughout beautiful B.C.
She was such a strong courageous loving woman, many tears will be shed but "may we all sit together at the bottom of the hill in the end"
A celebration of life will be held June 4th beginning at 12:00pm at West Langley Community Hall.
