It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Bob passed away peacefully in Kelowna on Christmas Day.
He is survived by his loving wife Marlene of 64 years, their three children Dorothy (Jerry), Brenda (Ron), and David (Carla), and their five grandchildren Natalie (Kevin), Jeffrey, Jonah, Rachelle and Lukas. He is also survived by his sister Terry.
Bob was a proud and active member of the Langley community for much of his life, which included owning and managing Duckworth's clothing stores, actively participating in Langley minor hockey and baseball, serving as president of the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce in 1968, serving as Langley City Alderman, and serving as Langley City Mayor from 1973 to 1980.
Family members will be having a private celebration of life later this summer.
