Pepper spray is cruelty

Recently my outdoor cat has been pepper sprayed in my neighborhood (Springfield).

Editor:

Recently my outdoor cat has been pepper sprayed in my neighborhood (Springfield). I can understand not wanting outdoor cats on your fence or in your yard, but this is beyond too far. Whoever has done this clearly has never had it done to themselves.

This is very dangerous for both cats and unsuspecting owners who, like myself, are likely to pick up the half-blinded cat not knowing what's dampened their fur until it's too late. The pepper spray spread to my arms and face (eyes, nose, mouth) and was extremely painful for hours. Some people are more reactive to pepper spray than others, but cat owners should not be having to go through what I did.
