Try looking on the ‘sunny side’ for a change

Mr. Bromley and his well known band of letter writers rarely if ever get facts straight or manage to present a solid argument on an issue.

Editor:

I applaud Mr. Bromley for his excellent math skills. In his recent Letter to the Editor, he stated; "Of the 20 or so per cent of Township voters who voted in the November elections, more than 50 per cent of us did not vote for the current mayor and council, most of the letters to the editor complaining about our council and mayor are from this group." This is absolutely correct. Approximately 10% of the population of Langley Township never voted for the present Mayor and Council.

Unfortunately, Mr. Bromley forgot this leaves the remaining 90% that either cast a vote for the present Mayor or Council or failed to take that opportunity to vote at all, which in a democratic society is a vote ‘for’.

Mr. Bromley and his well known band of letter writers, (Moats, Blackall, McFee, Holecombe, Hutchinson etc.) rarely if ever get the facts straight or manage to present a solid argument on an issue. They love to express their opinion regardless of fact and truth. I have no idea how they can lead life in such a negative bubble all the while living in the great community of Langley Township that has so many positive things to offer. Life is too short to always be looking at the ‘glass half empty’ and I am proud of the 90% that like myself, live life with a ‘glass have full’ type of attitude.
