Aldergrove Kodiaks assistant captain Kyle Bosko scored the team’s only two goals in a 2-5 loss in Friday’s away game at Ridge Meadows Flames.

Bosko scored the first period’s only goal at 8:30, assisted by captain Matt Oliver.

The Kodiaks were up 2-0 early in the second period when Bosko scored on a power play at 3:01, assisted by Davin Padgham and Ty Pickering.

However, two and half minutes later the Flames started their scoring streak when Flames’ Logan Hunter scored on a power play. This was followed by three more Flames’ goal before the period ended, and the Flames scored the only goal of the third period for the 5-2 win for the Flames.

The Flames outshot the Kodiaks in every period for a game total of 41-22. The Flames scored on two of eight power plays while the Kodiaks scored on one of four.

The result leaves the Kodiaks stalled at 19 points after 25 games (8-14-1-2), while the Flames lead the PJHL’s Harold Brittain conference with 39 points after 29 games.

The Kodiaks are hoping to turn their fortunes around when they host the North Vancouver Wolf Pack at Aldergrove Arena this Wednesday, Dec. 13, 7:15 p.m.
